Music has always been an important creative outlet for me. I was a founding member of the (Swedish) Grammy winning metal band Dark Tranquillity, with which I recorded 12 albums and spent many years touring the globe (which gave a unique perspective on the world as providing ample opportunity to expand my photo library). Despite never putting too much emphasis on the speed and technicality normally associated with the genre, I'm proudly featured in Joel McIver's book "The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists".

I left the band a few years ago in order to cut down on travelling and focus on family, but I still contribute with design and animation.

These days, the primary musical focus is my electronic/experimental project Mitochondrial Sun, which operates on a one-album-per-year basis. The debut album was produced with support from the Swedish Arts Council. Another venture, Time and the Hunter, will be publically announced soon.
